About a Bottega

A while back some friends told me about a Bottega Veneta bag. "It's Gorgeous" they said. "It's everything you always wanted! You have to get it! ". I couldn't wait to get to the boutique that stocked that bag. Apparently I was already invited to see the bag last year but I ignored the invitation... Oops. When I actually saw the bag I wasn't at all impressed although after staring at it for a while I managed to convince myself that It's Gorgeous, It's everything I always wanted and I have to get it. The price tag was steep so I decided to sleep on it. I didn't know if I could afford it. Not long after my encounter with the bag, I saw other people carrying it... Several people. People who somehow managed to purchase a damn Bottega thinking it's a fabulous accessory for their TRACK SUIT!!!. Some had to return it after they couldn't pay their credit card bills. I was shocked! I couldn't believe the Bottega was Everywhere! So I decided that It wasn't gorgeous, It's not everything I always wanted and I don't have to get it. Then autumn came and suddenly there was a SALE and I was invited. I went to see the bag again and wasn't overly excited about it so I walked out of the store empty handed. My friends heard about the sale too and STILL THOUGHT it was gorgeous. As much as I like to think I'm not affected by other people's opinions; I AM. SO I fell for the Bottega again only to discover that it was a one day sale and purchasing one might just about bankrupt me. Maybe the Bottega will go out of stock. Maybe I might just go and get it. Maybe it's just all hype and branding. I never had a Bottega before perhaps I should settle for a Calvin Klein.
